WEEK 5 - Facebook Analytics

This session was dedicated to learning about Facebook business pages, and the analytics functions. We were informed about the pros and cons of having a Facebook Business Page, as well as being reminded of the sales funnel and its relation to the customer journey.  



Description: We were given a short but informative demonstration by a class member, explaining the intricacies of Facebook Ad Manager. The platform allows you to boost posts and create campaigns with different campaign goals.

Feelings: This demonstration was useful, and left me feeling intrigued about this feature on Facebook.

Evaluations: I am slightly familiar with the ads manager form using Instagram ads; however, this demonstration walked us through the creation process of a campaign from start to finish. It was very well explained and gave a better insight into my knowledge. 

Analysis: Although creating ads is not required as part of the assignment, this small demonstration, as well as peer-to-peer discussions,  has given me the confidence to have a go at creating my own campaign in the future. 

Conclusion: Following this, I could have turned to expert-created videos about Facebook Ad Manager and ad creation to fill any gaps in my knowledge. 

Action plan: If this situation arose again, I would be sure to ask extra questions about the topic at hand.
